WUWM is southeastern Wisconsin’s most listened to public radio station.

Job Summary

Announcers at WUWM communicate with
listeners embracing the style, production values and editorial standards that exemplify public radio programming.

Specific duties include:
-Hosts live and voice track program segments
-Assist in programming the station’s automation system
-Operate unassisted studio and remote broadcast equipment
-Write, produce and voice promotional, informational and underwriting copy.
-Produce and record local programming as assigned.
-Perform the duties of the program manager in his absence
-Participate in station fund raising and outreach activities
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

-A bachelor’s degree
-Minimum of 2 years of professional broadcast experience
-A demonstrated announcing style that is comparable to WUWM and NPR
-Experience operating audio and remote broadcasting equipment

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with AudioVault automation systems.
-Experience with digital audio edit
