UW-Milwaukee College of Nursing offers Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Nursing (MN), Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding (MSP), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in nursing. UW-Milwaukee partners with UW-Parkside to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Students in the consortial nursing program at UW-Parkside are placed in clinical sites in the Racine and Kenosha area and take classes at the Parkside campus.

Job Summary

Conduct an active program of research; teach courses and support university level education; and contribute to the mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee through professional, community and university service consistent with rank and area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

Research Doctorate in Nursing or related field earned by the start of the appointment.

Evidence of a developing or established program of research.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing.

Unrestricted license as RN in Wisconsin or ability to become licensed as RN in Wisconsin.

Research experience/expertise in one or more of the following areas: maternal and child health; community and global health; scholarship of teaching, learning and simulation; gerontology; bio-psycho-social and mental health interventions; informatics, quality and safety; and/or self-management.

Experience/expertise in teaching in one or more of the following areas: mental health; gerontology; community and global health; quantitative methods; philosophy of science and inquiry; informatics, quality and safety; and/or monitoring, evaluation and learning in complex systems.
